
Location: Enjoyed in a pint glass at Flinger’s Pizza Pub in downtown Bloomington, Illinois.

Ingredients: Malts: 2 Row and 15L Crystal; Hops: CO2 Extract, Northern Brewer and German Tettnang; Yeast: Blend of three yeasts; Adjuncts: Dextrose
Appearance & Aroma: It was pretty clear and bright golden yellow in color. There was a fairly thick, creamy, bright white head on it, which left some decent lacing. There wasn’t much aroma to it, but I noticed a light spicy Belgian-like aroma, and a hint of a malt.
Taste & Feel: The body was light-medium and the mouthfeel was slightly crisp. The flavors were lightly sweet malty breadiness up front, followed by some citrusy hop bitterness in the middle. It finished slightly dry with the hop bitterness growing slightly, and a hint of belgian-like spiciness.
Food Pairing: This was light and crisp enough that it would to with almost anything. However, I think the bready maltiness would complement a brick oven pizza nicely, and the citrus hoppiness would give the pairing an extra dimension of flavor.
Overall Impression: The bready flavors up front, followed by hoppy bitterness made this a very drinkable beer. It had a complex mix of flavors, from the malt, hops, and light Belgian spiciness. Overall, I thought it was a fairly good beer that went down easy.
