
It had a nice, pinky finger sized head with tiny bubbles which stuck around for quite a while due to a lot of carbonation. When the carbonation was combined with its very light yellow color, it almost looked like a sparkling wine or champaign in the pint glass.
Still trying to defeat my travel cold, I couldn’t smell much of an aroma before trying the beer. The body was very light and it was very fresh, crisp, and refreshing – most of this due to the heavy amount of carbonation.
It was very light, bright, crisp and there was almost no flavor that was initially discernable. I did notice a very slight bready taste, but what stood out to me the most was the finish. It is hard to describe, but it was almost buttery. The flavor was almost like almost like if they made water that’s finish tasted faintly like a croissant.
My fish tacos had more of a Mexican flair than what I was anticipating, so it didn’t go too well with the spiciness of the meal. However, I think the Peroni would go extremely well with grilled fish, and might just be perfect with sea bass.
