As I mentioned in my last post, we’re at Bazbeaux Pizza in downtown Indianapolis. I’m having Upland Dragonfly IPA, and ordered this for my wife, as I knew she’d probably like something a little lighter. She ended up only having about half of it, so I took the other half.
Location: Poured from the can into a pint glass, at Bazbeaux Pizza in downtown Indianapolis, IN.
Numbers: 5.3% ABV, 20 IBUs, ~ 157 Calories
Appearance & Aroma: It was very very clear, and golden in color, with almost no head. There was almost no aroma, except for a hint of a bready, cracker–like smell.
Taste & Feel: The body was light, and the mouthfeel was fairly crisp and effervescent from the carbonation. The flavor is a bit like crackers upfront and finishes with a cream and cracker like flavor that grew slightly in the aftertaste.
Food Pairing: This was light and crisp, so it would probably go with almost anything. Â It went nicely with our pizza, bringing out the breadiness of the crust a bit. Â This also probably be perfect to go with almost anything right off the grill on a hot summer day.
Overall Impression: It was very light on flavor, but did have a nice cracker and cream flavor in the finish. Â It was extremely drinkable, and would be a great beer on a hot day – light, crisp, refreshing, and a nice, light, cream flavor.
